Cincinnati police arrested Evans, 22, on an assault charge hours after the Bearcats beat SMU over the weekend. Evans was walking with a group of people in the 300 block of Calhoun Street when another person yelled something to Evans, who punched a man, knocking him unconscious for a minute and cutting his head, police wrote in Evans' arrest report.

The Village's police and fire departments were shut down Oct. 2 after it was dropped by its insurance company due to legal troubles. The Village and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office are now negotiating a new plan for the future.

Police say the 80-year-old Edwards was standing along the southbound lanes of 71 and walked into the lane of travel, on Thursday, October 16th. The driver of the cement truck, 45-year old Kevin Jones of Loveland, tried to swerve but was unable to avoid hitting Edwards.
